Step 1 — start here
Not sure what kind of grill you want?
Every good grill conversation starts with one question: how do you actually cook? Pick the closest match and the rest of this page follows from it.
Gas (propane or natural gas)
Push a button, cook in ten minutes.
- Weeknight dinners and anything you want fast
- Burgers, chicken, steaks, veggies, fish
- Households that grill 2–4 times a week
Trade-off: Least smoke flavor of the three, but by far the easiest to light, control, and clean. Add a smoker box if you want wood flavor.
The Big Green Egg and Charcoal
Real fire flavor, and it doubles as a smoker.
- Steakhouse sear, smoked ribs, brisket, whole chickens
- Low-and-slow weekends and pizza at 700°F
- Cooks who enjoy the fire as much as the food
Trade-off: 20–30 minutes to come up to temp and ash to clean out. A ceramic kamado holds temperature for 12+ hours on one load of lump.
Flat top griddle
Breakfast, smash burgers & hibachi night.
- Smash burgers, cheesesteaks, fajitas, fried rice
- Breakfast for a crowd — eggs, bacon, pancakes at once
- Anything too small to grill: shrimp, onions, hash
Trade-off: No grill marks and no smoke, but nothing falls through and cleanup is a scrape and a wipe. Season it like cast iron.
Step 2 — pick the line and the size
The three lines we build our floor around
Weber, Big Green Egg, and Blackstone. We stock the popular sizes and special order anything else in the line — usually within a week.
Weber
Gas · Charcoal · Portable
The line most people start with and never leave. Parts stay available for decades, the warranties are real, and we stock the grates, burners, and igniters when something finally wears out.

Big Green Egg
Ceramic kamado charcoal
One cooker that grills, smokes, bakes, and roasts. The ceramic holds heat so well it will hold 225°F overnight or hit 700°F for pizza, and the lifetime warranty on ceramics means it outlives most patios.
Browse Big Green Egg
Pick a category to see every size we carry, the stands and tables that hold them, and the tools that change how the EGG cooks.
Blackstone
Propane flat top griddles
The griddle that changed backyard cooking. Cold-rolled steel top, independent burner zones, and a grease management system — season it once and cook everything from pancakes to Philly cheesesteaks.

Step 3 — the gear that makes it work
Accessories, by what you're trying to do
You don't need all of it. You do need a thermometer, a cover, and the right fuel — the rest is how you grow into the grill.
Tools you'll use every cook
The short list we hand every new grill owner at the counter.
Long-handled tongs & spatula
17"+ so your forearms survive a charcoal fire.
Instant-read thermometer
The single biggest upgrade to your cooking. Pull steaks at 130°F, chicken at 165°F.
Leave-in probe / wireless thermometer
For briskets and pork butts you don't want to babysit.
Grill light & heat-resistant gloves
You will finish dinner after dark. Ask us for the gloves rated to 500°F.
Chimney starter
Charcoal lit in 15 minutes, no lighter fluid taste.
Cooking surfaces & inserts
How one grill turns into four cookers.
Cast iron sear grates & griddle inserts
Steakhouse crosshatch on gas; a flat top on your kettle.
Rotisserie kits
Whole chickens, pork loin, porchetta. Weber Genesis and Summit both take one.
Pizza stone & conveggtor / heat deflector
Turns a kamado into a 700°F pizza oven and makes indirect baking possible.
Rib racks, poultry roasters, veggie baskets
More food on the same grate without crowding the fire.
Smoker boxes & wood chunks
Adds real wood flavor to a gas grill — no smoker required.
Fuel & flavor
We fill and exchange propane at the Delray Beach counter every day.
20 lb propane exchange or refill
Refills are cheaper and you get a full tank instead of a partial.
Lump charcoal & briquettes
Big Green Egg lump for kamados, Kingsford for kettles.
Hardwood pellets
Hickory, apple, competition blends for pellet grills and smoke tubes.
Wood chunks & chips
Oak and pecan for beef, apple and cherry for pork and poultry.
Rubs, sauces & injectables
Local and national brands on the endcap — ask what we're using at home.
Clean, cover & protect
In South Florida the cover matters as much as the grill.
Fitted grill & griddle covers
Model-specific covers for Weber, Big Green Egg, and Blackstone.
Grate brushes & scrapers
Bristle-free scrapers if you're worried about loose wire bristles.
Griddle seasoning & conditioner
Blackstone's own blend, plus scraper, squeeze bottles, and a caddy.
Degreaser & drip pans
Keeps flare-ups down and makes the annual deep clean painless.
Replacement grates, burners & igniters
Bring the part or the model number — we'll match it or order it.
Step 4 — how to use it
Six ways to cook, and what each one needs
Whatever you bought, these are the techniques it can do. Match the method to the food, and buy only the gear that method actually needs.
| Method | Temp | How it works | Best foods | Gear |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Direct / high-heat sear | 500–650°F | Food straight over the fire, lid open or briefly closed. Flip once, pull by temperature and not by time. | Steaks, burgers, chops, shrimp, vegetables | |
| Two-zone grilling | Hot side 500°F / cool side 300°F | Coals or burners on one side only. Sear on the hot side, then finish on the cool side with the lid down. | Thick steaks, bone-in chicken, sausages | |
| Indirect roasting | 325–400°F | Fire on the outside, food in the middle, lid closed. Your grill becomes a convection oven. | Whole chicken, pork loin, ribs, holiday turkey | |
| Low & slow smoking | 225–275°F | Small fire, vents mostly closed, wood chunks buried in the coals. Plan on 1–1.5 hours per pound. | Brisket, pork butt, ribs, beef short ribs | |
| Griddle cooking | 350–450°F | Preheat, oil thin, work in zones. Scrape into the grease trap while it's still hot. | Smash burgers, breakfast, fajitas, fried rice, cheesesteaks | |
| Pizza & baking | 600–750°F | Stone on a deflector, preheat 30 minutes, launch and turn every 60 seconds. | Neapolitan pizza, flatbread, cast iron cobbler |
Step 5 — we handle the rest
Assembled, filled, delivered
Buying the grill is the easy part. These are the things we do so it's cooking the day it arrives.
Before you buy
What customers ask us at the counter
Do you assemble the grill?
Yes. Grills bought in store are assembled by our team, and we deliver locally. Roll-out, take-away of your old grill, and a full propane tank can all be arranged at the counter.
Can you special order a model you don't have on the floor?
Almost always. Weber, Big Green Egg, and Blackstone all have models and accessories we can bring in — usually within a week. Call us with the model number or send a link.
Propane exchange or refill?
Refills at our dispenser cost less per gallon and you get a genuinely full tank. Exchange is faster if your tank is out of certification. We do both at the Delray Beach store.
Gas, charcoal, or griddle if I can only have one?
If you cook on weeknights, gas. If flavor and weekend projects matter most, a kamado or kettle. If your family eats burgers, breakfast, and fajitas, the griddle gets used more than either.
What size Big Green Egg should I buy?
Large is the answer for most households — it fits every accessory and handles a full rack of ribs. Go Medium for two people on a small patio, XL if you regularly cook for a crowd.
How do I keep it alive in salt air?
Cover it every time it cools, rinse the cart and hardware a few times a season, and keep the griddle top oiled. We stock fitted covers for every model we sell.
Want a model we don't have on the floor?
Send us the model number or a link and we'll price it, order it, assemble it, and deliver it locally — Weber, Big Green Egg, or Blackstone.
Inside the department
What it looks like in the aisle
A quick look at how the department is set up before you make the trip.
Can't find the part?
Bring in the broken piece or send us a photo. Matching it in person beats guessing at a part number online, and we sell most fasteners loose by the piece.
