Hard water eats fixtures
South Florida water is mineral-heavy. Scale clogs aerators, showerheads and cartridges first — soak or replace them before you condemn the whole faucet.
Salt air and outdoor brass
Hose bibs, sprinkler valves and pool fittings corrode fast this close to the ocean. Brass and stainless outlast plated parts every time.
Shut off before hurricane season
Know where your main shut-off is and make sure it turns. Leaving town? Close the main and drain the hose bibs.
Irrigation runs on PVC
Sprinkler breaks are the most common repair we sell parts for. Keep a slip-fix coupling, primer and cement on the shelf in the garage.
Know when to call a plumber
Main drain lines, sewer backups, gas piping, water heater replacement and anything behind a permit. Fixtures and repair parts are DIY; the main line is not.
