Double-sided keys, transponder chip keys, remotes, and fobs — cut and programmed in store on the Hillman KeyStart system. Most customers save significantly compared to dealership pricing, since the dealer charges separately for the blank, the cutting, and the programming.

Can you cut double-sided car keys?
Yes. Our Hillman KeyStart machine cuts double-sided (four-track) automotive blanks along with standard edge-cut keys.
Can you program a remote or fob?
Yes — we program transponder chip keys, remote head keys, keyless entry remotes, and smart fobs for supported vehicles. Programming is by appointment, and we can only program keys purchased through our store.
Do you have my blank in stock?
Some blanks we keep on the shelf; others we special order for your specific vehicle. Call with your year, make, and model and we'll check before you drive over.
Is a hardware store cheaper than the dealership for a car key?
Almost always. Dealerships charge for the blank, the cutting, and the programming separately. We do all three at the counter, and you do not have to leave the car overnight.
Do I need my original key?
For a duplicate, yes — bring one working key. If every key is lost, the vehicle usually has to be programmed by a locksmith or dealer, and we will tell you that up front rather than sell you a blank that cannot be paired.
How long does it take?
Keys are cut and programmed by appointment, and the time depends on the difficulty of the programming specific to the individual key/remote. On average, plan to wait about 30 minutes to an hour while we program your key. You're welcome to shop the store while you wait or sit comfortably in our decorating room — we also have free WiFi available for your use.
Which vehicles can you do?
KeyStart coverage changes as manufacturers update their systems, so call the store with your year, make, and model and we will check before you drive over.
