Element Guard was made for climates like ours. It's formulated to shed wind-driven rain, resist cracking as stucco and siding move, and hold color under constant UV.
It also tolerates being painted in less-than-perfect conditions — a real consideration when you're trying to get an exterior finished around an afternoon storm pattern.
For coastal buildings that take weather from every direction, this is one of the two exterior systems we spec most often.

Element Guard or Aura Exterior — which should I use?
Element Guard is the pick when moisture and cracking are the problem: stucco, wind-driven rain, buildings that have peeled before. Aura Exterior is the pick when color depth and fade resistance matter most. Bring us photos of the building and we'll tell you which one your walls are asking for.
How soon can it rain after I paint?
Element Guard is formulated to resist rain much sooner after application than standard exterior paint. Follow the label for the day's temperature and humidity — and in summer here, start early.
Will it stop my stucco from cracking?
It resists cracking in the paint film and bridges hairline movement. Structural cracks need to be repaired and patched first — no coating fixes those.
Can I use it on a condo building?
Yes, and we spec it on association repaints regularly. Our outside sales team writes the system by substrate and exposure and works the project with a Benjamin Moore representative.
