How long do custom window treatments and wallpaper take?

A typical timeline

Most projects follow the same rhythm:

• Showroom visit or in-home consultation — selections narrowed
• Measure appointment — usually within a week
• Order placed once selections and measurements are confirmed
• Fabrication at the mill — the longest stretch, and it varies by product
• Installation scheduled as soon as everything for a room arrives

What runs long

Hardwood shutters, custom drapery with specialty fabric, imported wallcovering, and anything motorized and hardwired take the most time. Stock roller shades and in-stock papers are the fastest.

Planning around a deadline

If you have a hard date — a closing, a season arrival, a rental turn — tell us at the first conversation. We will steer selections toward what can realistically land in time, and we will say so plainly if a fabric cannot make it.
