Overview
What it is
Grasscloth is woven natural fiber laminated to a paper backing — sisal, jute, arrowroot, and paperweave. It reads custom because it is: every panel is slightly different, and the light moves across it the way it moves across a textile. It is the designer default for dining rooms, studies, and entries.
Best for
- Dining rooms, studies, and entries that need warmth without pattern
- Rooms where you want texture to do the work instead of color
- Ceilings and tray details where a subtle fiber reads beautifully

Seams and shading are the look
Panels butt together and the color shifts slightly panel to panel. That variation is the material, not a defect — we show you real samples so there are no surprises on the wall.
One dye lot per job
Natural fiber varies more than print. We order the whole job in a single lot whenever possible and flag anything that ships split before it lands.
Not for wet or high-traffic walls
Keep it out of showers, splash zones, and hallways where hands drag. For those we'll point you at a washable vinyl that mimics the texture.
