What to know
Banded shades — also sold as zebra, dual, or Allure shades — roll two alternating fabrics on one tube. Line the sheer bands up and the window reads almost open; offset them and the opaque bands close for privacy. It is the most-requested modern look for condos and new construction.

Two motions in one shade: raise and lower like a roller, then nudge the front layer so the sheer and solid bands line up (view through) or offset (privacy).
